Meals in Montreal
I had delectable meals in divine restaurants in Montreal. At the French Bonaparte Restaurant, a girlfriend and I sat in a window seat overlooking narrow cobblestone streets dining on salmon, succulent cheeses, chocolate mouse and several glasses of Pavillon Rouge-Bordeaux Superior 2005. Fifty percent of the red wine in Canada is consumed in Montreal, so they know their spirits.
At Boris Bistro in Old Montreal, I tasted snail feuillete in creamy chive sauce and grilled trout with caramelized walnuts on a baby spinach salad. And I had their dreamy version of the Brazilian caipi-sake made with kiwi, cherries, tangerines, mangos, sake and cachaça, a Brazilian liquor.
