First Look: Tyler Perry’s Adaptation of ‘Colored Girls’
We are officially counting down the days until November 5 when Tyler Perry’s film adaptation of “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf” opens. Ntozake Shange’s groundbreaking play has been shedding light on the often overlooked pain of black women since its debut in 1975. The all-star cast includes Janet Jackson, Thandie Newton, Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Macy Gray, Kimberly Elise, Kerry Washington, Loretta Devine and Anika Noni Rose.
