No—not until I saw the powerful presentation of health benefits in this 90-minute movie, which gives an impactful visual presentation of how we, as African Americans, can take control of our lives so we’ll stop dying from avoidable illnesses like diabetes and heart disease. The producer, the doctors and the folks featured in the film are sincere. Eliminate meat, dairy and processed foods from our diets? It sounds extreme, but it’s worth it—for the sake of lowering cholesterol and having a healthy heart, for the sake of improving athletic performance.
