Based on the thrilling and inspirational life of an iconic American freedom fighter, HARRIET tells the extraordinary tale of Harriet Tubman’s escape from slavery and transformation into one of America’s greatest heroes. Harriet Tubman’s escape from slavery and ensuing freeing of over 300 slaves, with the guidance of GOD and her heroic faith-fueled expedition – earning her the iconic nickname of “Moses”. I mean, it doesn’t get any better than that! Let’s not forget she also was the first women to lead an armed expedition in the war. Talk about exceptional! Her courage, ingenuity, and tenacity changed the course of history.

nationally syndicated radio host Willie Moore Jr. hosted an intimate screening and Q&A session for Focus Features’ latest film HARRIET. The screening took place at Regal Atlantic Station in Atlanta, where Moore invited his closest friends – including Da BratMonica Brown (VP of Pandora), Shari Welton (Producer of Sister Circle), Rick Party, and Carmen Watkins among others. Prior to the screening, a Q&A session with the director of the film, Kasi Lemmons, and one of the film’s stars, Omar Dorsey, was held and moderated by Willie.
