Share information about your book.

My book is entitled “I’ve Got to Comb my Hair.” Unbeknownst to my late grandfather, he gave me the title of my book with one simple question, “Baby, are you going to comb your hair?” LOL!! I laugh now it wasn’t funny then.  The book is a riveting story of how God uses pain to birth purpose and how what a woman is feeling can be reflected in something as simple as her hair. I know many women can relate!  My book can be found at all online book retailers, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and many other outlets.

What can people expect when you are invited to speak?

An encounter that is informative, relative, and impactful. I like my audience to have an experience that provides the tools needed to succeed in every facet of their lives.

How has Covid-19 impacted your business?

Well, it’s been interesting. Believe it or not, it has allowed me to connect with a broader market globally. Covid-19 has made the world smaller and the business world even smaller. My business is positioned to help businesses navigate the challenges of an economic downturn and still succeed.

What does success look like to you?

In the military, we had a saying, “you adapt to your environment and overcome it.” In other words, you can and will overcome if you choose to. When you conceptualize this, you will find peace in achieving your goals, and that in itself is a success for me.

What advice would you give someone who seeks to become an entrepreneur?

Believe strongly in yourself, your gifts, and your talents. Believe in God who created those gifts. Hold it near, and do not let anyone detour you from what you believe and striving to build. And, by all means, keep going even if you are afraid.

Where do you see your career in the next five years?

I see my career growing more into philanthropy and making a global impact using my voice and the gifts that God has placed inside of me to impart knowledge and positive influence into the world.
