What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?

My father was an entrepreneur and after working with a myriad of other corporations and organizations, and making them successful, I decided to start my own business and apply those same principals.

What does success look like to you?

Being able to have peace of mind and spirit, enjoying the variety of work that that we manage, traveling, to be of service to small underserved community organizations.

What projects are you currently working on?

I was recently voted as President of the East Baltimore Historical Library. We are creating a museum – that speaks to the gentrification of 88 acres bought by a local business and displaced 2200 African American families. This museum collect the oral histories, artifacts and other pertinent historical information of the previous generations of African American ancestors and modern day residents that who lived in the 88 acre footprint from more than 100 years ago to modern day residents.

What kind of experience should a person expect from working with your company?

At Marsha Jews & Company we are communicators – from our initial conversations through execution of contracts, we pay attention to the most remote detail. We are listeners, each client has a project manager who has their undivided attention, we develop our strategic plan, set standing meetings, and laser focused on our goals and objectives with military precision.

What advice would you give other women who are interested in becoming an entrepreneur?

Do not allow anyone to destroy your dream, believe in yourself, make a serious commitment to make the business successful, stay laser focused, determine what is or isn’t a priority, understand that situations happen, and keep it moving to the finish line.

What has been the biggest challenge being an entrepreneur?

Making the decision to create my own business, staying focused and true to the plan. There are distractions, hiccups in business – not winning a contract, and understanding that it happens… creating the right environment to market to the right clientele and developing a serious team of people who see their success in the vision we have for this company and being committed 24/7 to its success – in spite of the obstacles and deterrents… staying the course.

Where would you like to see your business in the next five years?

To have developed our own annual international products.
