Put your lipstick on and hustle,” is one of Celebrity Makeup Artist Tiffany Ervin’s common and well-known phrases. Q: What is your favorite makeup look this summer?
A: My favorite look is the graphic eyeliner look. I love a great lined eye on a daily basis, but to be able to add a little spice with graphic designs takes the simple look to another level.
Q: What are some product essentials this summer?
A: Palladio retractable waterproof eyeliner, Palladio Rice Paper powdered blotting tissues, Femme Couture Get Locked Setting Spray, Real Colors Everlasting Eyeshadow Palette bright. For the face, Face Secret Bronzer Brush and Femme Couture Baked Bronzer are all my top picks for product essentials this summer.
Q: How do I protect my face from the sun?
A: The best way to protect your face from the sun is to make sure you are using a moisturizer with SPF (sun protection factor) of at least SPF 15.
Q: Give us tips for handling humidity and makeup.
A: Staying flawless while in humid weather simply comes down to keeping in mind the way you prep your face for your makeup application. Be sure to use a primer, setting spray and waterproof mascara. Also, less is more — go easy on the foundation and layering of products, and opt for a BB or CC cream paired with cream blush and bronzer. Summer is a great time to play up your lips for a bold look while going a little lighter on the full face beat.
Q: How can we wear the funky colors and neon colors on the eyes and lips without looking clownish?
A: To avoid looking clownish with this season’s bold color trend, I suggest opting for one or the other. If you decide to go with a bold eye to tone the look down, I would put on a neutral lip and vice versa. Or be subtle and make your pop of color an eyeliner instead of a full lid eyeshadow.
Q: How do you achieve a glowing, flawless natural look?
A: Drink plenty of water, adopt a skincare regimen (wash, tone and moisturize) to keep the skin healthy. The way you take care of your skin is the key to getting the most out of your makeup application.
Q: What is the Sally Beauty product you can’t live without?
A: The product that stays in my professional makeup kit, as well as my personal kit, is the Femme Couture Get Locked Setting Spray. That it is THE TRUTH. This weightless spray keeps your makeup looking fresh from the time you apply it, until the time you wash it off. I literally love this setting spray, and it is super affordable.
