Are You A Dreamer?

I love dreamers. Because dreamers are world changers. Show me anything we have in this world, and I’ll show you a dreamer. Dreamers are the shaper of our reality and the architects of the future.

What makes dreamers so unique is that they see the possibility of what could be. And when you can see the possibility of what could be, the world opens up to you. So if you’re a dreamer, I’m going to share four things you can do daily, so you can be, do, and have all that God has for you and Live Your Dream!

Be Persist: You dream at night, but it doesn’t happen overnight. There are no overnight success stories. The race is not given to the swift or the strong but to those that endure till the end.

Now to be clear, I wasn’t always a dreamer. I didn’t know my purpose. So I struggled (ok, failed) my first semester in college. I recall my college math professor telling my mother that college isn’t for everyone. Instead, she should save her money, get me a trade, so at least I would be able to support myself and not be a burden on the rest of society. That day my mother disenrolled me. It took me five years and summer classes every year, but I graduated with a 3.8 and finished on the Dean List.

Practice:“Practice isn’t the thing you do once you’re good, it’s the thing you do that makes you good.” – Malcolm Gladwell.

There has never been, and there never will be a substitute for hard work. So, if you want to reach your dreams, you have to get good first. There’s no substitute, shortcuts, or secrets. You have to grind to get it.

Prayer: Prayer changes things. It helps to re-affirm and cements your beliefs and build your faith.

A hard truth most people won’t tell you is that just because you’re ready to be successful doesn’t mean life will accommodate you. Your faith is what you hold on to until your dream manifests and takes shape. It is the eternal elixir that gives Life, Power, and Action to the impulse of thought. Thoughts formed in prayer and molded by faith lead to actions that generate the creative power necessary to bring our dream to life.

Speak: Speaking well is a lost art. I encourage everyone I meet to get better at speaking. Expand your vocabulary and take a speech class. For some of you, that’s a terrifying thought. But understand our words have more power than we realize. When God breathed life into man, He gifted him with the power of creation through the spoken word. In Proverbs 18:21, we’re told the power of life and death is in our tongue. What you say, think, and believe about yourself matters.

The power of life is in you

The power of creation is in you

Greatness is in you.
