This is one of the most entertaining, and consequential sequel of this genre we have seen.
We believe our audience will be fully engaged with this outstanding and loved story that is being reimagined for a new generation along with those who saw the original adaption will be thrilled.
DreamWorks’ How to Train Your Dragon returning to the big screen—as a live-action film—set for release on June 13, 2025, filmed for IMAX, is a hit!
This cinematic event is the perfect moment for audiences to revisit a story filled with values that reflect themes of compassion and courage. Here, we once again meet Hiccup, a young Viking who challenges the norms of his warrior culture by befriending a wounded dragon, Toothless. He has to contend with his peers who make fun of him, who wants to be a dragon. His father, Stoick the Vast, the leader of this tribe is over protected of this bumbling young man who is scorned by his peers and the young warrior, Astrid, who he likes, but who initially treat him with scorn and notes, he is privileged because of who his father, the fearless warrior leader is.
Hiccup use what he is learning from Toothless to understand what affects various dragons to become the dragon tamer and the celebrity among his peers. Astrid notice this and wonder where he is getting this knowledge.
Hiccup develops an unlikely friendship with Toothless, that blossoms into a movement of peace and understanding that transforms their entire community. But not before a dramatic confrontation with his father in the arena, when he refuses to kill a dragon and his father is about to kill that dragon when Toothless comes to the rescue. His father doesn’t believe the impending danger; he is so focused to going the dragons’ lair. He captures Toothless and chain him to his boat and assembly his warriors to confront the dragons.

Astrid asks Hiccup what is he going to do, wherein he concocts the idea of flying with the dragons they were training with, to help his father and the rest of his warriors. At the island, they are confronted with the monster dragon that was feeding on the dragons. After a dramatic rescue of the chained Toothless because Hiccup couldn’t release him from the chains. Toothless and the motley misfits overcome that danger and the dragons become part of the community.
At its core, How to Train Your Dragon speaks to the strength found in choosing empathy over fear, the dignity of every creature, and the hope that comes from daring to love our enemies.
