Summer is winding down, the weather is starting to change, and we’re gearing up for a busy fall, packed with inspiring virtual and in person events, new classroom ready resources, brand new biographies, and our upcoming exhibit in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month: Women Run, Women Win: Latinas in Congress, presented in partnership with our friends at Telemundo’s “Mujeres Imparables” (Unstoppable Women) initiative. Later this month, we’ll also debut our Hispanic Heritage Month Toolkit, a great resource for educators, organizations, and learners of all ages.
Join the National Women’s History Museum (NWHM) and the Smithsonian American Women’s History Initiative (AWHI), in partnership with the New Mexico History Museum (NMHM) and with support from the United States Mint and with special thanks to the New Mexico State Records Center and Archives, for Historic Change: Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Nina Otero-Warren.
