Michon C. Young (vocalist/songwriter/producer)- resides in Detroit, Mi and considers Detroit her second hometown though born and raised in Gary, Indiana. Her musical talent was recognized by Pastor Marvin L. Winans which led to singing background on his 1st solo CD and performing a duet with him at the opening of Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. She has opened for countless mainstream artists and is a sought after opening act performer.

Michon has topped the charts since 2016 with her first debut song, “Something About You”. This song quickly rose to #1 instantly in the UK and Indie Soul Charts. Her first project, “Love Life Experiences” was released in April 2017. This entire album was quite successful in the UK and United States. A total of 8 songs from this 13-track project topped the Indie charts both stateside and abroad.

In September 2017, Michon was invited for a debut performance in the UK at Cadogan Hall in London, England . Michon and her notable band, The Silky Funk Groove Masters set forth the foundation for “LLE Vol. 2, Driving To Purpose” which was released June 2018. Her first single from this project, “Let’s Go To Work” instantly shot to #1 on the Indie Soul Charts in the US and UK. Other songs from this project, “Go Get It”, “We’re Better Together”, “Simple Easy Love” and “Waiting On You” grew along the air waves topping charts as well. Her second release in the U.S. titled “Its All About Me” made Indie Music history and ranked #1 on the Official Indie Soul Chart for 6 consecutive weeks averaging over 2K spins a week. In March 2019, Michon received recognition from the U.K.’s Groundbreakin Awards as “ Best Female Soul Artist of the Year” and “Best soul single of the year for “Let’s Go To Work” and in June 2019, was awarded Indie Artist Female of the Year.

Michon continues to release music yearly since her R&B debut in 2016. In April 2020, she released two new singles from her upcoming album titled “ HoneyDew” and “ Hurry Home” respectively. Although both tracks were well received , it was the track “ HoneyDew” that acquired BILLBOARD recognition. Michon’s newest project is scheduled to be released in May 2022 with 14 new original fierce and fiery tracks . Michon’s performance tours in over 28 states and abroad have received rave reviews .

Her passion for community outreach has often lead to impromptu performances at Shelters for battered women and the homeless. She has performed in front of a crowd of more than 28,000 at the Hartford Jazz Fest, The Taste of Chicago, and countless other venues.
