How did you get started in the entertainment business?

At the age of fifteen I began writing lyrics. I let a few of my friends hear what I wrote and they would ask me to share it with others when we went to school. Every time we had a free moment in class they would ask me rap. It went from class to talent shows, from talent shows to open mic nights, from open mic nights to the House of Blues, then once I got booked for the Jazz and Heritage Festival I knew then I could make this a career.

Tell us about this new Christian Project.

The album is entitled, “I Made It”. It is a album describing my life in the streets, my struggles with alcohol and drugs and how I was able to overcome it all with help from the Lord. Although it is a faith based album, I actually wrote it to be encouragement for the unchurched. My hope is to inspire those who deal with struggles to assure and remind them that all things are possible to those who believe.

What is your favorite song on your project and why?

“The Way That You Love Me” ft. Bishop Samuel Blakes. I wrote it when I was going through a season of depression. It was my peace in the midst of panic. It literally lifted my spirit and got me through a rough season. I was vulnerable and transparent because I wanted others to know that they are not alone.

Why was it so important to record Christian music?

It is important because I believe it meets a need that some people do not even realize they have. The message of hope, faith, love, compassion and restoration is a message that I believe the whole world needs.

What motivates you to fight for your dreams?

The young man or young lady out there who feels hopeless and helpless. All they need is a word of encouragement to keep them from giving up. I want them to know that there is someone in the world who has compassion and who genuinely loves and is concerned about them. Also, my desire is to leave a legacy for my family so that everyone from my bloodline can know that you can turn your dreams into reality.

What has been your biggest challenge you had to overcome?

Being my own worst enemy. Self awareness and accountability is extremely important to me. Throughout my life, I realized that my greatest battle was the one within. My biggest hater most of the time was me. I say that because it was not others that held me back, it was usually my lack of persistence, focus and attention to detail.

What do you want people to know most about you?

I am a man of love and I care deeply for the well-being of humanity. My actions are sometimes wrong but my heart is always right. I am true to me and I am comfortable in my own skin. I am not the one who sits around gossiping about and judging others. I would rather use that time praying for them.

What advice do you have for others who seek becoming a recording artist?

Be authentic and stay true to you and your brand. Surround yourself with people who will be truthful and who has your best interest at heart. Work while others are asleep and be sure to keep God at the head of all that you do.

Where can people listen and purchase your product?

iTunes, Google Play Store and Apple Music

Where do you see your business in the next five years?

My team and I will undoubtedly be an international brand. We will not only accumulate wealth but we will cultivate relationships with other leaders across the world and implement movements to change the world as we know it.
