Houston, TX – The Black Golf Alliance (The Alliance), a group of primarily African American golfers came together recently to celebrate Juneteenth with an inaugural golf event.
During the closing ceremony of the weekend, the Alliance presented Dr. Gary Grandison, head coach for TSU golf, with a check for $7,500. More than 80 golfers from 20 different locales supported this year’s event. The mission of the Alliance is to grow the game of golf in the black community through love, unity, and respect for each other and the game itself.
