The Annual Legislative Conference is the leading public policy convening focused on issues impacting African Americans and the global Black community. The ALC is a unique platform where thought leaders, legislators, influencers, and concerned citizens converge to discuss and address critical issues, forge partnerships, and promote the political, economic, and social advancement of Black communities.

Getting There
Located downtown in the heart of our nation’s capital, it’s easy to find your way to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from any corner of the city, by whichever means of transportation suits you best.
By Metro: The Convention Center sits atop the Mt. Vernon Square/7th Street-Convention Center station served by Metro’s Green and Yellow lines. Alternatively, take the Red Line to the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro station which is a 5 minute walk from the Convention Center.

By Train: Amtrak serves DC’s Union Station and is connected to the DC Metro on the Red Line.
By Plane: DC is served by three major airports (DCA, IAD and BWI), easily accessible to the city.
By Car & Parking: Whether you’re driving yourself or using a rideshare service, Google Maps can help get you here. Multiple parking garages are located around the Convention Center with hourly and daily rates.
By Foot: You’ll quickly find that DC is one of the most walkable and bikeable cities in the nation. If you’re staying nearby, strolling or pedaling will get you here soon enough!
