Welcome back to Heart & Soul, Congratulations on both your new single ‘Spirit2024’ and your film ‘Diagnosis PTSD’ making the rounds and getting awards at several festivals

What is your role in the film Diagnosis PTSD!?
I am the writer, executive producer, and, director ( independent film)
The title of the film is obvious which aspect of PTSD does your film focus on?
We are focused on Complex PTSD.
Complex PTSD is caused by multiple traumatic events, not just one. Complex PTSD is common in abuse or domestic violence cases, repeated exposure to war or community violence, or sudden loss. Treatment of complex PTSD is a little more intense. Individuals with complex PTSD can be diagnosed with borderline or antisocial personality disorder or dissociative disorders. They exhibit behavioral issues, such as impulsivity, aggression, substance abuse or sexual impulsivity. They can also exhibit extreme emotional issues, such as intense rage, depression or panic.
Who are your film team members and what are their roles?
Ladarius Winns is co producer , Director of Photography and editor.
Billy Shell is also a Director of Photography
eLle Dandridge is Line Producer , craft services, locations , wardrobe
Jamila Prescod- Dunham is our production manager, locations ,ward drobe and Production Designer
Radiance Salem is our web and graphic designer .
It’s a small but a creative and efficient team! I love them! We all work hard together.

We are currently in 10
how many have you won already?
We won 3 so far.
Which ones have won?
We won , Critics Choice International Film Festival, Indie Movies Spark Film Festival and Pure Magic International Film Festival
Congratulations Pretty exciting, what is your next goal with ‘Diagnosis PTSD’?
Thank you. We have additional storylines to film. After we have them, Ladarius and I will edit and we will have a full length feature .
What has been your main learning experience from the festival process?
Well I have had some nice opportunities speaking with different people who know their way around festivals. There’s alot to it honestly.
There are essentially 3 festival levels. I am still exploring them. So… I am experiencing a rollercoaster being accepted and not accepted into festivals…. It’s nerve wracking but it is all part of the journey.

Thank you soo much! My daughter Jamila is the photographer , the design was done by Lamarrous Shirley. The edit was produced by musicologist Donald Cleveland and pays tribute to the co-writer and original producer the late and great Gil Smalls( R.I.P.)
We read somewhere that Andre3000 inspired this edit how so ?
Yes he did!
Andre3000 breathed new life into the flute. Peoples ears were exposed to his beautiful, fluid ,meditative pieces.
“Spirit2024” is very soothing and relaxing, your film PTSD seems to have an ultimate message of healing.
Is this a coincidence or part of overall artistic message?
To be honest , all of the things I do creatively in which I am the driving force are meant to help… to soothe… to heal… to provide a
Way for people to connect and to explore .
