Awesome and fun filled adventure musical movie for the family. Our 8-year-old granddaughter gave it a 3-star rating out of 3.
The music is awesome. Directors: Walt Dorn & Tim Heitz. Stars include Anna Kendrick, Zooey Deschane, Justin Timberlake, Kevin Michael Richardson.
The storyline: Poppy discovers that Branch was once part of a boy band, BroZone, with his brothers: Floyd, John Doy, Spruce, and Clay. But when Floyd is kidnapped Brand and Poppy embark on a journey to reunite the other brothers and rescue Floyd.
Floyd is captured by a pair of sister and brother nefarious villains with no singing ability and placed in a diamond encased cell that can only be shattered by the perfect pitch that they have been unable to achieve because of bickering and the eldest brother wanting to it his way. His fate is worse than pop culture obscurity. Theses villains, especially the older sister, do care about the consequences. They set up a trap to get the other brothers to come and rescue Floyd, so that they can also capture them and enhance their singing ability.
The story includes reuniting of separated sisters and shows the young audience the meaning of forgiveness, reaching out to others, and loving others that may be different. And, most importantly, believing in oneself.
Fantastic journey and an outstanding ending with help from many friends. We highly recommend seeing this uplifting movie with your kids.
TROLLS Band Together is rated PG and opens at the theaters November 17, and runs 1 hour and 32 minutes.
