As he continues to grow in his craft, Chapman remains grounded in his Christian values and commitment to inspiring others through authenticity, fitness, and unwavering belief in God’s timing.
What inspired you to pursue modeling and acting, and how have your early experiences shaped your confidence in this new chapter of your career?
From the age of three, I’ve loved music, dance, and anything that allowed me to perform and make people smile. I’ve been performing most of my life, especially during school, but as an adult, I stepped away for a while. This is a tough and competitive industry, and sometimes reality forces you to focus on survival. Still, if given the chance, you should always pursue your passion within your beliefs.
How does your faith as a Christian influence the way you approach your work in the entertainment and fashion industries?
My faith is at the forefront of every decision I make. No amount of money or fame will ever make me disrespect the sacrifice my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ made for me. If an opportunity allows me to glorify Him, I’ll always say yes.
When you think about fitness, what does it mean to you beyond physical appearance—how does it connect to your mindset, discipline, and spiritual growth?
Fitness has always been more than physical for me. It’s my way to release negativity while caring for my temple. The physical appearance is just a byproduct of time and dedication. After nine surgeries, I’m simply grateful to move—praise to the Most High for that blessing.
What are some of the biggest lessons you’ve learned as a newcomer navigating the modeling and acting worlds?
No matter how many times you hear “no,” keep your faith and stay prayed up. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you.” When it’s my time, only God can deny me. I know that opportunity will come.
Heart & Soul focuses on wellness in every sense—emotional, physical, and spiritual. How do you personally stay grounded and balanced amid the pressures of building a career in entertainment?
Honestly, by reading the Bible, praying daily, eating well, and staying active. I’ve learned to let my spirit lead and my flesh follow. That’s what keeps me grounded.
Who have been your greatest inspirations or mentors along your journey, and what impact have they had on your vision for yourself?
Short and simple—my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
As a Black man in a competitive industry, how do you define representation and purpose in the roles and opportunities you pursue?
Every role I accept must have meaning—it has to teach or glorify God. I’m not interested in roles that mock my faith or celebrate darkness.
What does success look like for you at this stage, and how do you measure progress when you’re still early in your path?
Success means overcoming every obstacle and rejection with love and faith, knowing it only takes one opportunity to open many doors. I’ve done over 200 auditions in three years with just a few bookings, but that fuels me. Not everyone will recognize your talent—but that doesn’t take away from your gift. You just keep the faith and keep grinding.
In what ways do you hope to use your platform—whether through fitness, faith, or storytelling—to inspire others who are watching your journey unfold?
I want to inspire people to be their authentic selves, especially in a positive way. A pure soul can change lives, draw people closer to God, and even save someone’s life. Someone is always watching, so I want to always show up as my true and unique self.
What message do you want readers of Heart & Soul Magazine to take away from your story about resilience, faith, and following your calling?
Keep God first and build a real relationship with Him. Spread love as much as you can without losing yourself. Don’t let anyone tell you what you can’t do—only God and you truly know your potential. And never give up, no matter how tough it gets. Your blessings are coming, and they’re not always financial. Be a light in a world full of darkness.
