What inspired you to become an electronic music artist and DJ?

My upbringing was filled with music. In Southeastern Michigan, my family bonded through singing and dancing. My mother sang and led our church choir. Uncle Greg played the keyboard and introduced me to diverse music with depth and range. My dad’s passion for Hip-Hop and Jazz shaped my taste in bass and rhythm. MC Hammer was my idol and inspired me to explore music and performing further. TV commercials and theme songs also had a big impact on me. Seeing how music touches people and how certain sounds resonated with me, I realized my purpose is to bring love, romance, and adventure to life through my music.

Tell us about your training and/or inspiration to create.

I’m inspired by the rhythms I notice in nature during walks or while traveling. Classic films, especially French New Wave, action romance, or heist films from the 1960s and 1990s, also influence me. I love how music enhances visual storytelling. I’m deeply inspired by music in luxury fashion shows, where it reflects the models’ attitudes and highlights the clothing. I’m nomadic at heart and appreciate different cultures. My curiosity drives my sound, which blends Jazz, Indian cinema, deep house, afrohouse, and Amapiano. My tastes and interests are always evolving.Although I was in a symphonic and marching band in my younger years, I don’t read music. I learned to play by ear and feeling, which shapes how I create and perform music.

What advice would you give someone who seeks to become a music artist?

Listen closely to what drives you and follow your curiosity. Expose yourself to various forms of art and learn about the creators behind them. Embrace the power of vulnerability and trust your feelings. Learn the rules of the industry, but don’t be afraid to challenge them. Build meaningful relationships and act with integrity. Expect success, even if your early attempts seem like failures. Stay focused on your vision, take persistent action, and celebrate growth with every milestone, not just the outcome.

What does success look like for you?

Success for me means measuring progress in various areas. Am I growing significantly from my efforts? Am I expanding my reach and impact? Am I aligning with my vision for myself, my finances, relationships, and family? Am I creating win/win opportunities for those I work with? If the answer is yes, then I am achieving success.

What kind of experience should a client expect when utilizing your services?

Clients can expect a meaningful connection and collaboration. When booking me for a performance, I will transport their environment into a realm of wonder and romance through sound, theatrical performance, and intentional set design. For music composition, clients can anticipate immersive storytelling that engages all the senses, captivates their audience, and enhances their brand identity.

What keeps you motivated in such a competitive industry?

I have a strong desire to win. My only competition is with my former thoughts and beliefs that I am growing beyond. I am motivated to achieve the ultimate freedom: awareness of my purpose and control over my time, money, and energy. I will persist until I attain this goal.
