The all-new 2023 Genesis Electrified G80, an all-electric version of the Genesis G80 mid-size luxury sedan, takes design and style to new heights with a beautifully designed body style, super plush interior, and state-of-art technology.

Although the newly introduced 2023 G80 electric differs from its gas-fueled counterpart, it is also one of the best-designed midsize luxury EVs sedans in the segment. However, the Electric G80 comes in only one trim which includes all the advanced technology and conveniences for one base price, including massage seats, a suite of driver assistance technology, and all the latest safety features.

However, as of November 2022, the Electrified G80 was only available in 12 states, which include Arizona, California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York, Utah, Virginia, and Washington. Therefore, you’ll need to preorder through your local dealership if you want one.

Models/Price: The 2023 Genesis Electrified G80 only comes in the G80 Prestige trim level, which is luxurious inside and out and fully loaded with soft leather upholstery, real wood trim, and a 14.5-inch touchscreen that houses a Lexicon premium stereo system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

Getting inside feels more spaceship-like than an automobile. The base price is $79,825 MSRP, and the only option in the test vehicle was a special white paint for $1,500 and a destination charge of $1,095. The price, as tested, came to $82,420 MSRP.

In addition to the full suite of driver assistance technology, the G80 EV includes Hyundai’s Smart Park system to park the vehicle in and out of tight spots without being in the driver’s seat.

ePower: The Electrified G80 is powered by a pair of electric motors and an all-wheel-drive system that generates 365 horsepower. It silently races from 0 to 60 mph in around 4 seconds and is faster than the gas-powered G80 Sport.

The EV G80 has an 87.2-kWh battery with an estimated 282-mile range, which can be recharged in about 22 minutes on a DC fast charger and up to seven hours on a

Level 2 outlet. The high-capacity battery also includes Vehicle Load Charging that can power smaller devices outside the vehicles.

Fuel Economy/MPGe: The EPA rates the G80 EV at 105 city/89 highway MPGe.

Warranty: The 2023 Genesis Electrified G80 is backed by Hyundai’s unlimited warranty for five years or 60,000 miles, complimentary maintenance for 36,000 miles or three years, and powertrain coverage for 100,000 miles or ten years.
