Tell us about Zholistic Life- what inspired you to start this journey into holistic wellness?

My journey began with years of relying on allopathic medicine. I was grappling with several debilitating health issues, both mental and physical, which meant frequent doctor visits. I was declared disabled and told I’d never walk unassisted, work, or lead a normal life again. They said I’d be on these medications for the rest of my life. I was severely depressed and even attempted suicide multiple times, but thankfully, I wasn’t successful.

After one of these attempts, I found myself in the hospital under suicide watch. A nurse suggested that maybe God had a greater plan for me, and that’s why I was still here. That idea sparked something inside me and began to change my outlook. I had always believed that God wasn’t for me, but I started to trust Him to guide me.

I stopped all my medications and turned to holistic medicine for my care. I continued seeing my therapist and worked through the issues causing my mental and emotional struggles. My health improved, and I learned the true meaning of forgiveness, starting with myself. I developed a genuine relationship with God and got my life back completely. Through this transformation, I discovered a passion for helping others with their health from a mind, body, and spirit perspective. My tragedy led me to my passion for holistic health and gave me heart for people. 

What sets your approach apart from other holistic practitioners, and what philosophies guide your practice?

I believe in holistic health based on biblical principles, and that’s the approach I use. I understand that not everyone is a Christian, and I don’t push my religious beliefs on anyone, but it’s my foundation. My goal is to help people live practical, healthy lives.

In my coaching practice, I’ve found that focusing on training rather than trying leads to success. Just like a coach trains a team to win championships, I train my clients to win in life. We take small steps, focusing on changing mindsets about nutrition, healthy living, and spiritual connections. Success is definitely achievable. I provide support throughout the process with encouragement and practical coaching tailored to each person’s needs.

I offer holistic coaching through health and wellness practices, and as an herbalist, I provide natural products to help get the body back in alignment and functioning as it was meant to. One of my key approaches is detoxification. With all the toxins in our food, water, and air, our bodies can get overloaded, affecting our physical, mental, and emotional health. It’s crucial to detoxify our bodies regularly and retrain our minds to minimize toxin buildup. I have an herbal detox that aids in this process. 

Incorporating intentional movement into your daily routine is crucial for a healthy lifestyle. Exercise doesn’t have to be hard or intense, but it is necessary to keep your body functioning well. I offer coaching and personalized plans to help you get started with exercises that fit your lifestyle and preferences. Whether it’s gentle stretching, walking, or more structured workouts, I can guide you in finding the right approach to make movement a regular and enjoyable part of your day.

Many health issues stem from nutrient deficiencies and hormonal imbalances. I offer herbal supplements that support hormonal health and promote nutrient-rich diets and supplements to help reverse these issues.

When introducing newcomers to holistic health, I like to start with the basics and build from there. I begin by explaining what holistic health is and how it focuses on the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. I share how it differs from conventional medicine by emphasizing natural and preventive care. Personal stories, like my own journey and experiences, can be very powerful and relatable, helping people see the potential benefits. I introduce simple, everyday practices that they can easily incorporate into their lives, such as mindfulness, healthy eating, and gentle exercise. Starting small helps prevent becoming overwhelmed.

I also talk about the importance of detoxifying the body and how it can improve overall health. I explain how our environment can lead to toxin buildup and how my herbal detox can help. Highlighting the role of nutrition in holistic health, I discuss how nutrient deficiencies and hormonal imbalances can affect health and how my herbal supplements and nutrient-rich diets can help address these issues. Throughout the process, I provide ongoing support and encouragement, tailoring my coaching to their individual needs. This helps them feel supported and motivated on their journey. By taking these steps, I help newcomers understand and experience the benefits of holistic health in a practical and approachable way.

What are some of the most common health concerns your clients come to you with, and how does your practice address them?
Most of the issues I deal with are chronic conditions that are unfortunately all too common, like heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, cancer, and obesity. I tackle these problems by looking at their root causes. I consider environmental factors such as lifestyle and nutrition to figure out what might have led to these issues. Many conditions that people think are hereditary are actually metabolic, which means they can be reversed through changes in lifestyle and nutrition. Some cases require more significant changes than others, but living a healthy life is worth the effort.

While I’m not a medical doctor and would never advise anyone to stop taking their medication, I do encourage lifestyle changes that can set them on the path to healing, not just treatment. The ultimate goal is to achieve healing and live a healthier, more vibrant life.

Holistic healing often includes mind, body, and spirit. How do you integrate these elements into your work?
For the mind, I focus on encouraging mindset changes towards a healthier lifestyle. This involves training the mind to see life differently and taking steps to reprogram our thinking in a more positive and healthy way. I also support emotional well-being through regular check-ins and personalized coaching.

When it comes to the body, I emphasize the importance of nutrition and physical activity. I help clients develop healthy eating habits and create exercise routines that fit their lifestyles. Detoxification and herbal supplements are also part of my approach to support physical health.

For the spirit, I respect each person’s spiritual beliefs and encourage practices that nurture their spirit. For those open to it, I incorporate elements like prayer, meditation, or other spiritual practices that align with their beliefs. Building a strong spiritual foundation can provide a sense of purpose and inner peace.

By addressing all three elements—mind, body, and spirit—I help clients achieve a balanced and holistic approach to health and wellness.

I’ve been researching herbal remedies for many years, and my products are the result of that extensive research. I use a combination of fresh and dried herbs, fruits, vegetables, and essential oils in my formulations. Each ingredient is carefully selected for its unique properties and benefits.

What makes my products special is the attention to detail and the quality of the ingredients. I source the freshest herbs and produce to ensure maximum potency and effectiveness. The essential oils I use are pure and therapeutic grade, which means they are of the highest quality and provide the best results.

My formulations are designed to work synergistically, meaning the ingredients complement and enhance each other’s effects. This holistic approach ensures that the products not only address specific health concerns but also support overall well-being. Whether it’s for detoxification, hormonal balance, or nutritional support, each product is crafted to help the body function as it was meant to.

Culture and tradition, especially biblical principles, play a significant role in my healing methods and product development. I draw inspiration from the Bible, particularly Genesis 1:29, where God says, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food”, and the B clause of Ezekiel 47:12 which says, “Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing” These verses highlights the importance of natural, God-given resources for our nourishment and healing.

By blending traditional biblical knowledge with modern research, I strive to offer products and services that truly make a difference in people’s health and lives. This approach ensures that my products and services are well-rounded and capable of addressing a wide range of health concerns, all while honoring the cultural and spiritual foundations that guide my work.

Do you have any success stories or testimonials from clients who have experienced transformation through Zholistic Life?
I have several success stories, but one stands out, and we’re still working together. This client came to me deeply concerned about his life. He was overweight and had tried numerous diets and plans without success. He was also struggling with depression and felt defeated, ready to give up.

When he contacted me, we immediately started bi-weekly coaching sessions. We focused on mindset changes, deep self-evaluation, and taking small steps to completely transform his eating habits. We also incorporated regular detoxing into his routine. Additionally, we started with at-home workouts that were easy for him to incorporate into his daily life.

I’m thrilled to say that he is now well on his way to reaching his goal weight. Even more importantly, he has found a new confidence in his Christian walk and has rededicated his life to Christ. His transformation has been incredible, and it’s been amazing to see him regain his confidence and zest for life. This journey has been a testament to the power of holistic health and the positive impact it can have on someone’s life.

With so much health information out there, how do you help people separate fact from fiction when it comes to holistic wellness?
There is tons of information out there, facts and fiction, but there is only one truth that relates to an individual’s situation. My goal is to help my clients reveal their truth. 

First, I start by educating my clients about the basics of holistic wellness, including its principles and benefits. This foundation helps them understand what to look for and what to avoid. I rely on evidence-based information and research to support my recommendations, staying updated with the latest studies and findings in holistic health to ensure that the advice I provide is accurate and reliable.

I also encourage my clients to think critically about the information they come across. I teach them how to evaluate sources, check for scientific backing, and be wary of sensational claims or quick fixes. Everyone’s situation is different, and there isn’t a one-size-fits-all remedy. It’s important to focus on individual needs. What may be factual for one person may not relate to another. We must deal with our own truth.

I offer personalized guidance tailored to everyone’s needs and circumstances. This helps them focus on what is relevant and effective for their specific situation, rather than getting lost in generic advice. I maintain open communication with my clients, encouraging them to ask questions and express any doubts or concerns. This ongoing dialogue helps clarify misconceptions and provides a safe space for learning.

I emphasize a holistic approach that considers the mind, body, and spirit. This comprehensive perspective helps clients see the bigger picture and understand how different aspects of their health are interconnected. I’ve learned to meet people where they are and move towards growth using tailored methods. I often refer to my own story and how, after years of following the plan that doctors used for others, it wasn’t working for me.

I see Zholistic Life growing in several exciting ways in the future. One of my main goals is to expand my reach and help more people discover the benefits of holistic health. This could involve offering more online resources, such as webinars, workshops, and courses, to make holistic wellness accessible to a wider audience.

I also hope to develop a broader range of natural products, continuing to use high-quality, effective ingredients. By doing so, I can address even more health concerns and provide comprehensive support for my clients’ well-being.

Another important aspect of growth is building a community of like-minded individuals who support and inspire each other on their wellness journeys. Creating a supportive network can make a significant difference in people’s lives, helping them stay motivated and connected.

My journey towards becoming a certified holistic health practitioner has been a profound and transformative one, spanning a lifetime filled with challenges and revelations. Growing up, I faced a childhood marked by abuse, pain, and uncertainty, which left me feeling inadequate and unsure of my identity. By the age of 30, my body had failed me due to numerous health issues, rendering me unable to work. This period of my life plunged me into a spiral of mental and emotional trauma, where I questioned my worth and even whether I deserved to live.

For ten long years, I felt that life was not worth living. However, a turning point came when I began to understand that God truly loved me and had a plan for my life. Although that plan was not immediately clear, the development had begun. I started to recognize His hand in my life, and my purpose began to unfold. Taking charge of my healing process, I sought holistic healing methods and began talking to a therapist who helped me get to the root of my issues, equipping me with the tools to create a better life.

Over the years, I have transformed my mind through therapy and self-reflection, my body with proper nutrition and exercise, and my soul with spiritual guidance. I always knew that God had a plan for me to guide and illuminate the path for others in their healing journeys. Despite my earlier struggles to see how to navigate towards that goal due to my misguided life, clarity came when I saw God’s plan for me. He illuminated my purpose, making it clear that I was meant to help others achieve a healthier lifestyle.
