How did your vision for MComni Media begin, and what gap in media, branding, or communications were you determined to fill through the company?
– My vision for MC Omni Media began with an idea to leverage media for storytelling and education. First off, media has always required storytelling to make it relevant, so using storytelling as a medium was natural. Now, education doesn’t require media. Education often begins in the household and then the community. Education when paired with media simply amplifies the education. This is what I am doing by addressing the local business resource knowledge gap many people experience.
MComni Media appears to focus heavily on storytelling and strategic communication. Why do you believe authentic storytelling has become one of the most valuable tools for modern brands and entrepreneurs?
– When I think about the real friends I have, I often recall their authenticity to be themselves, and the memories we’ve built together. Whether that’s with me or by themselves, they are who they are and I’m drawn to their authenticity and we’re connected by our memories. People think this way when gauging whether they want to engage with, support, or participate in a brand’s or entrepreneur’s development. Show me who you are so I know who and what I’m getting. It’s not about predictability. It’s about reliability. And this communicates trust and safety to your audience.
What separates MComni Media from other media and communications companies in terms of creativity, client experience, and long-term impact?
– MC Omni Media tailors our strategy to the client’s needs. Tell us what you need and we will tell you how we can help. Whether you have a podcast idea or require my voiceover services, we’re here to build with and not just for you. As a small media company, we can build a relationship, which is the true value outside of the results we deliver. Long term impact for us is seeing that our completed projects still meet the same satisfaction years after its completion. Simply put, we want to ensure our clients needs are met with satisfaction, surprise, and delight.
As a leader, how do you balance innovation with the personal relationships and trust required to help clients feel confident in your vision for their brand?
– I like this question a lot. Clients will only trust your innovative ideas if they trust your results. This is why I seek to build a relationship with clients before working with them. Business is a very sensitive topic. You don’t just jump in bed with anyone because your work complements one another. Date first, then discuss collaboration after your vision and more importantly your values align, or the divorce will be ugly.
What types of clients or industries are you most passionate about working with, and what inspires you about helping those brands grow their visibility?
– I’m passionate about working with clients who want to build empires. Tell me your long term vision and I will help you achieve it with measurable and repeatable impact. The industries I’m most passionate about working with are startups, podcasts, events, and family-oriented businesses. I’m truly inspired by founders with grand visions who also have the awareness and perseverance to achieve them and delegate work where they cannot fulfill their duties. You must be self-aware and honest with yourself to build anything worthwhile.
In today’s fast-moving digital landscape, what are some of the biggest mistakes businesses make when trying to market themselves or build influence online?
– I think the biggest mistakes are failing to track what your data says and ignoring general data on content types that work and those that don’t. You aren’t researching the target demographics for the content you are pushing out. Not leveraging emerging technologies to improve processes or create engaging content. Failing to collaborate with other brands online is another mistake. But most importantly not engaging authentically with your community. Too many brands are creating convenience economies out of people rather than genuinely building and providing value for them.
What has been one of the most rewarding success stories or transformations you’ve witnessed through the work MComni Media has provided for a client?
– I remember when Westside Future Fund first approached me to do the voiceover for their annual Ride for The Westside Tour. It was a surprise email and after reading the RFP, I was confident that I could do it for them. I rendered a few samples and they loved them, so they contracted me for the rest. Now, whenever I attend one of their events and someone hears me speak, they say “Hey, I know that voice! You did the voice for the tour,” and it always feels good to be seen and to hear that they enjoyed my voice.
Looking ahead, what is the long-term vision for MComni Media, and how do you hope your company will continue to shape culture, communication, and business growth in the years to come?
– My long term vision is to create films, TV shows, plays, and magazines either independently or in partnership with other brands. I hope to shape culture in a positive light that portrays the beauty, divinity, and intelligence of humanity, culture, innovation, through authentic stories that are remembered in the hearts of all who participate. I hope to shape communication in a way that is understood and hopefully fosters healthy communication among people regardless of their cultural background. And lastly, I hope that my business grows to employ hundreds if not thousands of people globally who can continue this mission of storytelling we’ve known since the dawn of humanity.
