What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?

I truly believe I was born an entrepreneur. I have always had the spirit of creating solutions for other people and I believe as an entrepreneur that is one of the core components of why you embrace the experience.

Tell us about your company.

Let Bob Technologies is a social impact technology company. We exist to create measurable and sustainable social impact. Our two main focus points are increasing graduation rates at HBCUs and getting more people of color invested in the stock market.

Tell us about the most meaningful impact you have had in the community.

I believe the most meaningful impact I have had is being an example to young black boys by showing them what they can do with their mind. In an environment where sports and entertainment are the dominating visuals and desires, I believe my journey can inspire a different approach to achieving financial freedom.

How do you feel the impact of no longer having Affirmative Action will have on the HBCU’s?

I believe it will make HBCUs become more relevant. As an HBCU graduate of Florida A & M University ( FAMU ), I have always been an advocate for the value of the environment and the experience at an HBCU. With a potential increase in attendance because of the removal of Affirmative Action, that feeling could become more common in others and increase the content of the benefit of the experience of an HBCU in the marketplace.

Several students don’t graduate because of finances. What can be done to minimize this unfortunate reality?

We must accept its significant reality first. Then we must collectively agree on how we can help these students. One person or company is not a viable solution. We must all work together to create a sustainable model that solves the problem.

What does success look like for you?

I feel I am already successful. I get to wake up and do what I love with the people that I Iove while changing lives and making money at the same time. That’s success in my book. In regards to my business, I believe success is a pipeline of people investing who would otherwise never have experienced it and a significant impact on the graduation rates at HBCUs.

What advice would you give to someone who seeks to become an entrepreneur?

Entrepreneurship is something you must dedicate your life and purpose to. It’s not something you play with. It’s time consuming and a consistent up and down roller coaster of emotional wins and losses. If you chose this life, do it because you truly believe it’s why you were created, not because you think you will become rich. Money comes and goes. Your purpose is forever. Only purpose will sustain you as an entrepreneur.

Where would you like to see your company in the next five years?

In the next five years I would like to see Bob as the source of fruit for many lives in many different capacities aligned with one purpose, empowering others with measurable and sustainable social impact.

Anthony founded Let Bob, LLC to solve a challenge: how to make investing inclusive, accessible, and safe for Black Americans and other marginalized communities. In collaboration with financial advisors and individual investors, Anthony developed technology solutions designed specifically for analyzing and trading, including the Let Bob Robo-advisory smartphone application and the Let Bob (LetB) Exchange Traded Fund (ETF), currently trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
In addition to Let Bob, LLC, Anthony is the founder and CEO of AppSolutions, LLC in Birmingham, AL.

His passion for business, coding, and trading are only outmatched by his love for Black culture and community. His goal is to annihilate the racial wealth gap in America, and he will continue developing technological solutions and partnerships to further this mission.

Anthony has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Sciences from Florida A & M University (FAMU) in Tallahassee, FL. He resides in Bessemer, AL, with his wife and two children.
