Tell us about your company and services.
My Company specializes in women’s wear. We offer ready to wear and evening wear, as well as custom pieces for special occasions like weddings, red carpets and stage performances.
What inspires your creativity?
I am inspired by a plethora of things! Traveling is probably the most inspiring, I love seeing new place, new architecture, new cultural influences in different counties. Im also inspire by fabric shopping. Technology has come such a long way, seeing new fabrication, lace beading, notions and etc all help me to create new ideas!
Describe the perfect client.
The perfect client for me is one who’s very open minded and edgy. I think my ideas can be a bit esoteric at times. Having a client who’s willing to try new things and one who’s not interested in looking like the general masses of people are ideal for me.
What can people expect from working with you?
People can expect to have a good time working with me, they can also expect to feel comfortable in the process. I am communicative with clients, im also very collaborative. I think these two things are extremely important when creating pieces for clients, especially when they are new clients. I also enjoy creating so much that is just a overall fun process, hence why the client can expect to have a good time and peaceful time during our process of creating
Tell us about the most special creation
The most special thing I feel i’ve created has been an entire line dedicated to my late mother. After she passed away, she was cremated and there wasn’t a formal service. I felt the need to make her existence memorable. I created an entire show on the day of her birthday in our hometown as a memorial. I’ve been fortunate to do many things in my career, but I believe this was the most special thing I’ve ever created to date.
What does success look like for you?
Success to me looks like an array of things. As a Costume Designer, it looks like me winning Emmys for contemporary and period pieces. As a Fashion Designer, It looks like my ability to sustain financially just from creating clothes as well as brick and mortar stores. In addition, I would like to show in all the major fashion weeks year after year, as I build my brand to be fashion house! As a stylist, success looks like me being able to dress some of the top celebrities for not only the biggest of red carpets, but for editorial publications as well.
What can the world expect next from you?
The world can expect to see my name on screens in theaters from me Costume Designing box office films. In addition, I am working on my next ready – to – wear collection so that I can partner with Neiman Marcus again and exhibit pieces as well as eventually have a permanent placement in their store.
