Neptune XXI is a multidisciplinary artist, storyteller, and cultural architect whose work fuses the spiritual with the sonic. Hailing from Northeast Washington, D.C., with Southern roots and a Baltimore edge, Neptune has carved a unique space in contemporary art through her music, poetry, and immersive experiences. A graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University and the author of From My Mind’s Eye,
From My Mind’s Eye, is my first collection of poetry. It is a birthing place in many ways. As an artist whose first love is writing, this work is very sacred to me. I’ve been crafting these words for years; moment by moment, piece by piece. The sentiments in this book show me in a vulnerable state, a raw state. For that, I am offering it to the world with much care and love. I pray these words find you well and that you enjoy every bit of it.
She is praised for her lyrical prowess and emotional depth, earning recognition from outlets like The Baltimore Sun for her “rhythmic mastery and profound syntax.”Since the release of her debut EP TwentyOne in 2018, Neptune has delivered a string of evocative projects—including 2023’s HEAL and her latest body of work Medicine Music—all aimed at collective healing and personal transformation. Her live performances transcend entertainment, offering soul-stirring, multisensory ceremonies that blend song, storytelling, dance, and community engagement.Neptune also champions collaborative creation, producing initiatives that center love, liberation, and Black futurism. With over 100 live shows under her belt and a growing platform for cultural impact, Neptune XXI continues to be a force of poetic truth and visionary expression.
Medicine Music is a soulful blend of hip-hop and healing frequencies, crafted to take listeners on a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and spiritual growth. Each track dives into themes like ancestral wisdom, liberation, and self-worth, with heartfelt lyrics and harmonies that resonate deeply.
Featuring powerful vocals from Raheem DeVaughn, AAries, Deek Westside and more, the album feels like a conversation between the cosmos and the soul. From the ethereal vibes of “Heaven on Me” to the empowering anthem “Every Hood Every Ghetto” and the reflective “Spirit of the Ancestors,” Medicine Music is more than just an album—it’s a reminder that within every beat and every note, there’s a prescription waiting to be received.
