(ATLANTA) – After four years, the Black Women’s Expo (BWe NEXT) returns to Atlanta December 17-18, 2022 at the Georgia International Convention Center and this time with “a little bit of Country.” Taking the stage Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. will be Atlanta’s own “The BoykinZ,” a group of four sisters who have taken the world of country music by storm.
From the suburbs of Atlanta, to the heart of Nashville and abroad, The BoykinZ; Kylan, Anale, Nytere, and Alona are a sister quartet with deep southern roots. For the past 10 years, they have performed on television, at numerous festivals, Off Broadway musicals, and major public events. With a newly released song, “Girls Night”, they are performing and line dancing across the country.
“Many are unaware that I have Nashville roots, love country music and watch TikTok videos,” said Merry Green, Creator and Executive Producer of the largest expo for Black women in the country. “When I got a glimpse of this talented quartet, I knew I had to get them on stage.”
Best known as the black girls of country TikTok, they currently have over 63 million views, nearly half-a-million followers, and over 10 million likes growing daily. As a result of their success, The BoykinZ have been featured on Fox 5 News – Good Day Atlanta and Rolling Out Magazine. They have performed at Usher’s New Look Foundation Ball, and made special appearances at the 2022 Stage Coach Festival, LA Football Club with Kevin Frazier of Entertainment Tonight, The National Museum for African American Music, Shaquille O’Neal’s Boys & Girls Club, and Georgia Tech University for Rapplug Academy.
“I am extending a special invitation to all of Atlanta to come make memories with us this holiday season,” said Green. “The BoykinZ are a phenomenally fresh addition to our line-up of entertainment that I urge everyone to experience in person. I can’t wait to see them in action and maybe try my hand at line dancing.”
The BoykinZ are also accredited song writers who have a unique signature sound of country infused with pop, rock, hip hop, and soul. Also, with a diverse background in multimedia entertainment, they are viral TikTok Influencers and content creators that have gained millions of followers world-wide, breaking records all within one month of launching their country music brand to social media in January 2022.
The Expo festivities will kick off Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with a brief ribbon cutting ceremony followed by an inaugural “Bagels and Bosses” Brunch with a panel discussion featuring some of Atlanta’s elite entrepreneurs including Yandy Smith, Nicci Gilbert and Milan Harris.
Once the Expo begins, attendees can expect two days of informative seminars, guest speakers, live demonstrations including a fashion show, hair show, and main stage entertainment. Hundreds of exhibitors will be on the main floor showcasing products and services just in time to meet the needs of holiday shoppers.
