What inspired you to become and entrepreneur?
I feel like entrepreneurship naturally came to me. As a baker and culinary creator, my original goal was simply to have as many people try and enjoy my creations. As time passed, I understood that the concept could be extrapolated toward creating a livelihood. I realized that my passions had the potential to create an outlet for my family and generate generational wealth. I’ve dedicated myself continuously for the past five years to building a product and brand that represents quality and the essence of what a dessert should be!
Tell us about your company and product.
Fit for a Cookie is a cookie company that creates gourmet Cookie Desserts. We layer our products with delicious, premium-quality ingredients and flavor infusions. Each of our cookies is rolled and freshly baked every morning. We pride ourselves on our distinct and unique flavor, texture, and shape. Our goal is to build a community around our cookies by offering a delicious, warm, and welcoming experience to all of our customers!
What keeps you motivated in such a competitive industry?
As a baker, I feel that my motivation comes from the simple want to continuously elevate my products. I want my next creation to be better than my last. I focus on the craft instead of the outside competition. I take inspiration from my surroundings and challenge myself to create distinctive, unique products and experiences for my customers.
How do you finalize the recipes that you will use for your product?
All of my recipes and products go through an R&D phase. This phase includes tasting, shaping, and designing each cookie by experimenting with my ingredients to the gram! My goal is to make flavors and elements in the cookie complement each other. With each bite of our cookies, your palate explores the taste and richness while enjoying the crispy exterior and soft interior texture of our cookies. The R&D phase allows us to create this experience consistently while making new flavors!
Tell us about the best compliment that your company have received.
As I was working at the kiosk, I met a couple from Paris. One person ordered a Vanilla Bean Chocolate Chip cookie and another ordered the Oatmeal White Chocolate Chip. They took the cookies to go and drove to their hotel. About 30 minutes later, the same couple came back and told me, “ We have traveled all over Europe and U.S. and this is the greatest cookie I’ve ever had. I have had nothing like this before in my life. I am now regretful to go home tomorrow because your company does not have a location in Paris!” They then bought a dozen and left again. Their words meant so much to me but their actions spoke even louder. The fact that they were compelled to make another drive back to the kiosk just to get more cookies after trying one, spoke volumes and validated what they were saying. Paris is the home to some of the best desserts in the world. For locals to travel to Atlanta and deem Fit for a Cookie’s creations to be the best they’ve ever had is a compliment I can never forget.
What does success look like for you?
From a business perspective, my goal is to open multiple locations across the world! I want to expand and grow my company to its absolute zenith. However, true success to me is a reality where I can wake up proud of my accomplishments. A reality where the fruits of my labor are actively taking care of my family and loved ones. I feel like success is a state where your spiritual, personal, and career achievements are flourishing. That is the phase that I work towards every day.
About
Craig Bravo, the Executive Baker/Owner of Fit for a Cookie, started as a high school student with a deep passion for creating satisfying foods and desserts. As he progressed, studying various cooking and baking professionals, he began to specialize in the art of the cookie. After a few years of research, experiments, and sleepless nights filled with mixing and incorporating new elements, flavors, and ingredients, the baker concluded with a distinctive methodology that created a dessert deserving the title of a “cookie”. As he shared his cookies with others in his community, he became well known as the person to go to for cookie cravings. One thing everyone all agreed on was, ” This is more than a cookie…It’s an experience“
