How has the church changed since the pandemic?

The church has changed tremendously because it’s given people a reason NOT to go into the brick and mortar; however, it’s also forced churches to go into the realm of technology, so those who chose to worship virtually can still attend service, be apart of worship & still give their tithe & offering.

What has your journey been like being a single pastor?

My journey before being a single pastor was being a Surrogate Dad to many young men and ladies through the church as well as while being an administrator at Howard University.

What advice would you give someone feels hurt by the church?

My advice to someone who feels hurt by the church is to NEVER give up on the church because we identify the church as the building and the building has done NOTHING to us; however, the people, who is the church, is who did or said something to us, but understand “…hurt people hurt people…” and/or some people do not have the proper way to address an “issue” without offending someone.

What has been the most difficult thing you had to overcome? How did you get through it?

There are several things I’ve had to overcome, but at the of the list is the thought that every preacher/pastor is supposed to be married.   I overcame that by seeking scripture and it is Jeremiah 16:2 where God tells Jeremiah, “…do not get married nor have children in this land…” and though it is geographical, by the end of the book of Jeremiah, we never learn of Jeremiah having gotten married nor having children.

What does success look like for you?

Success, to me, looks like being fulfilled with whatever accomplishments that individual has set for themselves and NEVER feeling the end to compete with “The Joneses”.

What can people expect from you over the next five years?

With the next five (5) years, people can expect to see me continually preaching the unadulterated Gospel of Jesus the Christ, unashamed nor unapologetic, as well as see my name on books, radio & tv appearances to promote the books.
