Tell us about your company and services.

I hold expertise in travel and journalism, actively contributing content to Black Enterprise. My articles have gained recognition in platforms like Travel Noire, MSN, and Yahoo News. As a dedicated advocate for Black and Brown travelers, I also serve as a professional moderator and speaker within the travel industry.

Tell us about your first international trip experience.
I enjoyed a wealth of experiences during my upbringing as a second-generation Dominican. My parents consistently took me to the Dominican Republic from my pre-teen years. As I transitioned into adulthood, my first authentic international adventure unfolded in Europe. Exploring cities like Paris, London, and Switzerland marked the beginning of my journey. Since then, my global explorations have extended to over 19 countries, with the list continuously growing.

How has travel impacted your life?
My outlook on life has transformed. I’ve come to understand that I don’t need to subscribe to the challenges associated with being Black in the United States. This experience has introduced me to diverse cuisines and alternative perspectives. Most importantly, it has convinced me that the essence of the American Dream can extend beyond the borders of America.

What are some things that people should consider in traveling abroad for the first time?
The key is to conduct extensive research. The more you delve into the details, the more secure you’ll become. Immerse yourself in the customs and traditions of the country. Familiarize yourself with basic greetings like hello, good morning, and good evening. Make a genuine effort to understand and appreciate the culture of the country you plan to visit well before your arrival. Utilize online resources and follow influencers who can significantly reduce your research time if you focus on relevant topics.

Where is your favorite place to travel and why?
Thailand holds a special place in my heart and is akin to a second home for me. It became our residence after my wife and I decided to leave our jobs in New York City in 2019. The warm hospitality of the people, the delectable cuisine, and the significantly lower living expenses compared to New York City made it an ideal choice. I also realized my preference for hot weather, and the added bonus of being able to stay near a beach at a fraction of the cost compared to the United States made it even more appealing.

What does success look like for you?
My definition of success revolves around living life in accordance with God’s intentions. It involves safeguarding and supporting my family, as well as ensuring that my community has access to all the resources necessary to pursue their individual dreams.

In the next five years, what can we expect from you?
I aspire to become a prominent figure in the travel industry. Presently, I’m engaged in launching a startup that aims to revolutionize Black and Brown travel for future generations. A house on the beach and two more beautiful children.
